About the Science Building

Located at 400 East Cardinal Drive in Gadsden, AL, the 57,000-square-foot Science Building offers modern classrooms, advanced laboratories, and versatile meeting spaces ideal for academic and professional events.

Facilities & Features

  • Classrooms & Labs: 12 classrooms and 8 specialized labs for biology, chemistry, anatomy, and physics.
  • Lecture Hall: Tiered seating for up to 140 attendees.
  • Study & Work Areas: Computer labs, faculty office suite, and open common areas.
  • Unique Amenities: Anatomy classroom with viewing window into a cadaver lab—one of the few in Alabama at a community college level.
  • Safety: Select rooms and a hallway can serve as a tornado shelter.

How to Make a Reservation

Follow the steps below to make your reservation request: 

  1. Ensure that the dropdown selections at the top of the page reflect the correct location where you would like to make a new reservation.
  2. Choose the date in which you would like to reserve your desired space. 
  3. Use the time blocks below and select the times in which you would like to reserve your desired space. 
    • Note: Available times are displayed as green blocks allowing you to click and select your desired times. Yellow blocks indicate times that you have already selected, white blocks indicate times that are not available for reservations, and red blocks indicate times that the space has already been reserved by another party.

  4. Click on a green time block to select your start time and then use the dropdown menu or grid to set your end time.
  5. Select Submit Times (or similar), confirm your reservation details, and proceed.
  6. Complete the facility use form that will appear. Please complete all of the information within the form. Incomplete information could delay your reservation. 
  7. Click Submit my Booking. Once your booking has been approved by the Facilities & Transportation Manager, you'll receive a confirmation email; if you don’t see this message, check your spam/junk folder.
